Comments/contents: Die Vorlesung und Übungen finden voraussichtlich in Präsenz statt.  Es gibt vier Übungsgruppen.

Die wesentlichen Themen der Lehrveranstaltung Statistik für Volkswirtschaftslehre I umfassen:

Empirische Methoden der grafischen Darstellung (u. a. Histogramme und der Boxplot) und Charakterisierung (u. a. Lage- sowie Streuungsmaße, Quantile und Konzentrationsmaße) von erhobenen Daten eines Merkmals (univariate Datensätze).
Darstellung von unterschiedlichen Zusammenhangsmaßen (u. a. Kontingenzkoeffizient und Korrelationskoeffizient) zur Beschreibung der Unabhängigkeit bzw. Abhängigkeit von zwei Merkmalen (bivariate Datensätze).
Untersuchung des funktionalen Zusammenhanges zwischen zwei Variablen mit Regressionsmodellen (u. a. Kleinste-Quadrate-Methode und Bestimmtheitsmaß). 
Analyse von Daten im zeitlichen Verlauf (Indizes und Zeitreihen).
Grundlegende Konzepte (u. a. Mengen, Wahrscheinlichkeiten, Unabhängigkeit und Zufallsvariablen) und Resultate (u. a. Satz der totalen Wahrscheinlichkeit und Satz von Bayes) der Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung.
Modellierung und Eigenschaften von diskreten sowie stetigen Zufallsvorgängen über Zufallsvariablen und ihren Wahrscheinlichkeitsverteilungen (u. a. Geometrische Verteilung und Binomialverteilung bzw. Exponentialverteilung und Normalverteilung). Weitere wichtige Resultate und Konzepte der Stochastik (u. a. Ungleichung von Tschebyscheff und Momenterzeugende Funktionen).
Learning objectives: Die Studierenden erlernen elementare Methoden, die für die Wirtschaftsstatistik sowie für die deskriptive und die schließende Statistik im Rahmen des wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Studiums von Bedeutung sind und wenden diese an.
