This is an introduction to protein structure, how it is determined and how reliable it is.
Topics include
- Introduction to protein structure (I will try not to be too boring for chemists, biologists and biochemists)
- Protein structures from
- nuclear magnetic resonance and distance geometry
- cryo electron microscopy
- X-ray crystallography
- Protein structures from crystallography
- dynamics - single and multi-state models
- stability
- comparison of strucures
The lectures will either be in school-child-level German or elegant and well-spoken English.
