The seminar deals with novel systems for storing, processing and managing Big Data. In the course of the event, scientific articles from the recent past will be read and discussed in plenary. On the one hand, the participants will learn about the current technical developments in the field of data management and where the current research frontier lies. On the other hand, the participants will be introduced to working with scientific literature, which is particularly relevant for literature research and the presentation of own research results (for example, in the context of a thesis).

Overview of current NoSQL/Big Data technologies from practice and research. Understanding and assessing of scientific papers.
