Comments/contents:
The proseminar "Theoretical Computer Science" will focus on important or current research papers from theoretical computer science. All participants will be asked to prepare a written report on a paper from a set of possible research papers, which will then be presented at the end of the term. If needed, individual meetings can be scheduled. Examples for possible research papers include current publications from international theory conferences or fundamental results from theoretical computer science.
Learning objectives:
All participants will learn to read scientific papers from theoretical computer science, summarize and evaluate their contents, and present the results.
Didactic concept:
All participants choose a topic, which they prepare during the term. If needed, there will be individual meetings. All topics will be presented at the end of the term.

Additional examination information:
Students are required to hand in a written report and present their results.
