Comments/contents:
In this course, we shall deal with the theory as well as praxis of the historical-philological methods of the field. We shall thereby concentrate on the critical edition and translation of selected Tibetan Buddhist texts. Preparation and regular attendance in class will be the prerequisites for a successful participation. During the summer semester 2020, we shall continue to read the rGyud sde spyi rnam by Lo chen Rin chen bzang po. The materials for preparation will be distributed latest after the first session.
