More information:
Beyond filling the long summer break, an internship allows you to gain additional work experience in fields relevant to the global / intercultural ambition of the Mundus Journalism MA. This is the chance to explore careers in different fields or investigate specific areas within your current area of interest. It is almost impossible to truly know if you'll enjoy a certain job or career until you try it, and an internship is the perfect way to “test the waters”.

Learning objectives:
The goal of experiential education is to gain skills that will prepare you for the workplace. Internships are unique opportunities that allow you to apply what you have learned so far to a professional work environment or, especially if you already have relevant experiences, explore other professional fields you can envision a career in.

We hope that you take those experiences back into the classroom. Your discussions, questions, and papers will reflect your greater level of understanding to a real world context. Also, you'll develop a greater appreciation for how your academic assignments and accomplishments translate to the world of work.

Furthermore, an internship helps to develop professional contacts in the field. This is an opportunity to make connections with professionals in the field and establish relationships. People who know you are more willing to pass along tips about opportunities, share your information with their friends, and provide you with suggestions on how and where to look for positions once you graduate.

Additional examination information:
