Enterprise Architecture Management is a subject area of IT Governance that is equally established in research and enterprise contexts. Enterprise architectures provide a socio-technical view of enterprises by connecting business models, processes, and services to the IT landscape and IT infrastructure. Through digitization, this area is experiencing numerous extensions, e.g. in terms of supporting agility, dealing with large amounts of data, IoT, networking in the business ecosystem etc. Overall, an architecture-based view of innovation and digital transformation is becoming more important.
In this module, you will learn the basics of this field, which (1) relate to the modeling and documentation of enterprise architectures and their use in form of analysis- and design-patterns, visualization and tools. Further (2) the specific management processes of enterprise architectures with documentation and planning of actual and target architectures and embedding them in further governance processes will be concerned. The third part (3) deals with innovative topics mentioned above. The focus is how EAM can be used and which extensions are required.
Learning objectives:
In-depth knowledge of enterprise architectures and their management
Critical questioning of existing concepts
Ability to assess the development of the area and to develop innovative concepts
Didactic concept:
The module is divided into a lecture and a seminar. Further information about the seminar can be found here ....
