Comments/contents: Will the energy transformation succeed? This depends not only on politics, but also on us personally. Economics/business and physics are two disciplines that look at society's energy supply from complementary perspectives. This seminar examines physical and social conditions for implementing the energy system transformation in Germany, with a focus on electricity, heat and transport. Physics look at the scientific fundamentals and the technical possibilities or risks that make up various proposals for a sustainable supply. The economic/business sciences deal with the financial, social and political possibilities of an alternative energy supply. Both disciplines together provide valuable insights into the conditions for a transformation to renewable energy sources. The new jobs in the sector require businessmen and physicists with an eye to both aspects: technology and social framework conditions. (This seminar will be held in German!)
