Learning objectives:
The course includes the elicitation and analysis of primary data of Babanki in a fieldwork situation. The general aim is to understand the problems, challenges and charm of data collection in contact and cooperation with an L1-speaker of an African language. We will have no special focus, but have to concentrate on all levels of grammar, since we do not know which kind of structures will await us.

Additional examination information:
Students should have prior knowledge in phonetic transcription.
