This language course is the continuation of the two-semester introduction to Classical Tibetan.
The tutorial accompanying the course is part of the module and serves to consolidate and deepen the taught content.
In addition to regular and active participation, the students are expected to thoroughly prepare and follow-up the individual sessions.
An exam will take place at the end of the semester.
Learning objectives:
The qualification goal is the acquisition of a basic vocabulary of Tibetan as well as an understanding of Tibetan grammar.
At the end of the two-semester introduction, students will be able to independently analyze and translate simple classical texts.
Literature:
We will mainly use the Lehrbuch der klassischen tibetischen Schriftsprache, die siebte korrigierte Ausgabe von Michael Hahn (Swisttal-Odendorf: Indica et Tibetica Verlag, 1996).
Further teaching materials will be discussed in class.
