Kommentare/ Inhalte: The colloquium focuses on the final dissertation projects of the Master's students. Thematic, methodological, theoretical, conceptual and, if necessary, research-organizational questions of the participants are discussed collectively and with a view towards offering practical suggestions. Attendance and active participation are essential for all students throughout the whole of the semester, as developing and practising a culture of reciprocal and collective discussion and peer feedback constitute a pedagogical mainstay of this course format.
Lernziel: How to formulate a research question; how to use it for empirical, theoretical, and conceptual analysis; how to write a dissertation in a practical sense (e.g., adherence to conventions of academic writing; what makes a well-argued and well-structured dissertation, etc.).
Vorgehen: Presentation and discussion of the planned research projects of the participants; Discussion and documentation of the questions and feedback shared by each participant on the other participants' projects.
