Kommentare/ Inhalte: Please note: The lecture takes places on Tuesdays, 14.15-15.45, except for four dates on which we meet from 15:15 to 16:45 (24.10., 07.11., 28.11., 16.01.).

Instruction on the relevant fundamentals of codicology, paleography, textual criticism, and cataloging; instruction on the terms, methods, and concepts of manuscript research on the basis of selected examples from various manuscript cultures in various typological, geographical, and chronological forms; the conveyance of a comprehensive view of the materiality, production, transmission, and interaction of manuscripts in their respective cultures.
Lernziel: Knowledge of the methods of cultural studies analysis of manuscripts and their theoretical fundamentals, ability to plan and conduct philological historical research on manuscripts.
