Kommentare/ Inhalte: This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts and principles of Decision Theory, which is a branch of mathematics and philosophy that provides tools for making rational decisions in the face of uncertainty. Decision Theory is widely applicable across various fields, including economics, psychology, management, and artificial intelligence. The course will cover key topics, including decision-making under uncertainty, utility theory, game theory, and behavioral decision-making.
Lernziel: By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  • Understand the basic principles and frameworks of Decision Theory.
  • Analyze and evaluate decisions under uncertainty using probabilistic models.
  • Apply utility theory to assess the value of different outcomes.
  • Comprehend the fundamentals of game theory and strategic decision-making.
  • Recognize and discuss the role of emotions and biases in decision-making.
  • Apply Decision Theory concepts to real-world scenarios and practical problem-solving.

Vorgehen: The course will consist of interactive lectures and breakout sessions.
