Kommentare/ Inhalte: In this course basic methods of Nanobiotechnology are presented and discussed. The focus of this module lies on the synthesis of materials, especially of colloids and their characterization. Experimental techniques and background information on the apparatuses used will also be covered. The examples presented include the synthesis of colloidal nanoparticles and micro particles, the functionalization of surfaces, cleaning methods, determination of particle size and separation processes, bio conjugation, photo physical fundamentals etc.
Lernziel: This advanced level course provides an introduction to modern methods and aspects of Nanobiotechnology in order to prepare students for scientific work in this subject area.
